B.A.R.K.'s primary focus is on helping animals currently in shelters and animal control facilities by moving them into safe foster homes. The dogs are part of our family and given lots of love until the forever home is located.

B.A.R.K. foster families are a fantastic blend of people all coming together to save lives. The families are mainly located around the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and western Wisconsin.

The foster homes are always willing to share their joys, problems, and crazy stories about rescue - both past and present. B.A.R.K. would not be possible without these fun and dedicated people! Feel free to stop in during any one of the adoption events and say hello to the fosters and dogs.

As the founder and president of B.A.R.K, Sheila brings over 10 years of rescue experience to the group and is partial to fostering the "bad hair day" dogs! The fluffier the better at her house!

Rose and Mike are a wonderful couple dedicated to their animals! They take in special needs dogs, hard to place dogs, and everything in between! They have their own special fur kids at home in addition to their fosters. They have a soft spot for the the dachshunds and can usually be seen carrying one at pet adoption days!

Kelly has been a foster for about 5 yrs. She enjoys rescuing the large breed adult dogs like Rottweilers, Shepherds, and has also finally found a small breed dog that she loves-the Jack Russell Terrier! A house is just not a foster home without a Jack running around!

From Chi's to Dane's, Amy does it all! She's been an active member of B.A.R.K. since the beginning and has rescued many dogs over the last couple of years.

Nycole has been fostering for around 7 years, she enjoys fostering the older more experienced canines.  She also enjoy working with new adopters; helping acclimate the newest addition to the family, working with behavior issues is.  Her favorite breeds tend to be Black Labs, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies and Havanese.

 Want a Rottie or a Chocolate Lab? Then Corri's probably going to have one! She loves the big sweet dogs and will even take in the occasional tiny terrier! Corri is able to give her foster dogs all sorts of interactions with kids, other dogs, and cats, all in a big fenced-in backyard!

Dawne (and her lab/shepherd mix Maisie) is one of our newer foster families! With her first rescued foster dog, a shy shepherd named Howie, she fell in love and kept him! Now, the trio are helping more dogs find their forever homes!

Teresa is a foster wonder woman! A house full of kids, dogs, and various other animals, and she still finds time to take in abandoned puppies! Her kids keep our foster dogs well socialized and well loved!
